More than just jobs
You will also learn about your preferred work style, learning environment, your leadership style and risk taking/adproject/program score. These scales can help you decide what kinds of classes to take. Maybe you would do better and enjoy hands-on study, such as lab work. Conversely, you might be one who learns best by working on group projects or in study groups. Here's a way to find out what's better for you. It's a good way to avoid wasting time through trial and error.
What's a good major for me?
It's a common question. While it's true most professions include people from a wide variety of educational backgrounds, why not pick a major that matches your interests? This is particularly useful for those who can't decide because "everything interests me." If you're such a student, the Strong test can help you narrow your focus. Some students will benefit from combining their interests from several fields into a program just for them. Again, your report will give you great insights into which combination might be best for you. Your report includes a 5-step worksheet to help you choose a suitable major. Included are tips on how to get more information about your fields of interest.
Which school jobs or activities are right for me?
While in college, many students are involved in extracurricular activities or work. Are some more likely to be suited to you than others? Absolutely. The Strong assessment tool will give you more clarity about which activities or work-study programs might be for you. For example, would campus politics, being a teaching assistant, or a computer users group be good for you? Take the Strong and find out.
